Thank you for visiting the site.
I am Gitanjali Chandrasekharan (Twitter id: @cgitanjali), a journalist working in Mumbai.
Like most, I have spent a good many years admiring the quaint houses of the city. And when I finally accepted the fact I may never own or live in one of them, I decided to write about them (yes, that’s how journalists work).
The idea is to chronicle the city’s architectural history. However, if there are details I have missed or gotten wrong please feel free to correct me by posting a comment here. I will swallow my pride and approve the comment in a few days.
If you know of a house you would like to be featured here, leave a contact number or an email id.

Hi Gitanjali,
Loved your post on Heta’s homes. I am a friend of hers and live in a 200+ year old home restored by us recently and now being operated as a homestay in Goa. Our website is http://www.arcoiris.in. Would love to be featured by you. Take care, Beni

How can I get in touch with you
Dear Gitanjali,
Have been reading your blog from quite sometime.
May I kindly request for a small help from you?
Let me know if it is suitable to write here.
Thanks & Regards,
Vijay
hi, could you send me an email id?
Dear Gitanjali,
Another heritage home enthusiast here. Juts wanted to drop a quick note saying I love what you do. A lot of the homes you have on here are ones I have had my eye on for as long as I can remember.
Let me know if you want suggestions for some heritage homes in Mumbai that you could explore.
Cheers,
Shivangi

Dear Gitanjali,
Hello this is Siddhartha here (Sid for short) and have been reading your blogs with great interest. Must admit they are highly engaging and informative. Like many others who have grown up in Bombay I too am a huge fan of old bungalows in Bombay and do often look at them with great interest. Was particularly keen to exchange notes with you. Would it be possible for you to please drop me an email?
Thanks and look forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
Siddhartha (sid.khona@gmail.com)
